The general composition of the paid parking system equipment:
- entrance terminal;
- exit terminal;
- automatic payment terminal; (optional)
- operator's workplace;
- license plate detection cameras; (optional)
System operation algorithm:
The driver entering the parking lot stops at the entrance terminal and receives a ticket/card from it. If LPR cameras are used, the license plate of the car is registered.
The time of entry and the ticket/card are registered in the system. The date, time of entry and a barcode are printed on the ticket/card.
Then the entrance barrier automatically opens and the car enters the parking lot.
Before you leave, you need to pay for the parking time. The parking time is calculated automatically. Payment is made upon presentation of a ticket/card either through an automatic payment terminal (if installed) or at the cash desk at the operator's workplace. If LPR cameras are used, then the license plate is taken into account.
After payment, the car drives up to the exit terminal and the driver returns the ticket/card. The terminal or camera gives a command to open the exit barrier.
